I am sitting here at 11 at night and thinking about the upcoming week. Christmas is just a few days away. This year it is going to be a bit tough with the kids all grown now and doing their own things. Hopefully next year all of them will be able to fill this house with the laughter and joy that having family near brings.
Ok enough about all that. Are you still trying to finish up your Christmas cards? I have a pretty simple one for you today.
My goal is to share as many as I can before I shift my card making to other holidays.
Easy but elegant Holiday Card
Cut crumb cake cardstock in half with the trimmer
score at the half way mark (your folded card should be 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inches)
Using the trimmer, cut a piece of the white paper to 4 X 5 1/4 inches
crumple up the coffee filter and dab it onto the green ink pad.
Using the dabbing motion, dab the color onto a piece of white paper. This needs to be large enough for your thinlets to fit.
Continue this same process with the brown ink.. making sure to overlap the green ink.
Using the Big Shot and the dies, cut out 3 pine boughs from the paper you just colored.
From the stamp set, Stamp the word Noel in real red onto the lower right-hand corner of the whisper white cardstock you trimmed earlier.
After the ink has had a chance to dry, go over the letters with the wink of Stella.
Glue the pine boughs into the upper left corner. Any that is hanging off of the paper can be trimmed down.
Wrap gold twine around the card in a crisscross pattern.
Adhere the card front to the card base.
